IT was the perfect night for Bolton School pupil Luke James.
Not only did the Warrington Wolves fan get to meet Rugby League World Cup mascot Grubber, he also saw the Wolves grab a vital last-gasp victory over rivals Wigan.
The 12-year-old, from Adlington, is one of three youngsters behind the design of Grubber the bear.
The mascot will become increasingly familiar as the autumn tournament gets closer.
Luke said he was impressed with the final version of the mascot and was looking forward to seeing it again in October and November.
Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium will play host to two games, a group game between New Zealand and Samoa, and a quarter final.
